# Introduction

StepSecurity has officially expanded support to GitLab, starting with self-hosted runners.

This initial release enables teams using GitLab to bring visibility and control to their CI/CD environments through StepSecurity’s monitoring and telemetry capabilities.

### Current Capabilities

* Self-hosted GitLab runners only
* Telemetry, monitoring, and network and runtime security for observability into CI/CD workflows
